SVZ international (www.svz.com) sources the best fruits and vegetables from the world’s renowned growing areas in Spain, Benelux, Eastern Europe and the US. SVZ is partnering with growers from around the world to work together in developing, planting, growing and harvesting the highest quality and most desirable fruits and vegetables possible. They process them into high quality juice concentrates, purees, concentrated purees.  SVZ has over 380 employees. Besides the head office located in Breda (the Netherlands), SVZ has a multitude of plants and procurement offices across Europe as well as in the USA and Asia. SVZ is an integral part of Royal Cosun (www.cosun.com). Sustainability manager


Position

  • Responsible for managing and further develop our global sustainability affairs strategy to support and complement SVZ’s overall growth roadmap;
  • Executing and driving the implementation plan for the program and translating it into pragmatic business goals;
  • Initiating change projects, starting at the agricultural side of the business;
  • Understanding customer requirements in their sustainability strategy and transform it into practical solutions for the involved parts of the SVZ organisation;
  • Giving input to global market intelligence on key trends, assessing the business implications, synthesizing into pragmatic business strategy and initiatives;
  • Representing SVZ at key sustainability networks and events to enhance SVZ’s leadership and environmental sustainability position;
  • Manage all stakeholders internal as external on aligning the SVZ’s sustainability strategy;
  • Promote sustainability in SVZ’s international business units in order to achieve goals within the set sustainability strategy, reporting directly to the CEO.


Profile

  • Master’s degree, preferable combined with training on social responsibility
  • Several years of relevant work experience, within the industry
  • Able to translate technical requirements into practical solutions that balance business and regulatory risks
  • Strong project management skills and successful experience in leading and coordinating a sustainability program with a dynamic organisation
  • Solid understanding of sustainability issues and how these impact businesses
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English
  • Personal skills: leadership, self-starting, results driven, ownership, analytical, convincing, influencing others and team player.
