As a result of our growing business Cosun Biobased Experts is looking to expand its commercial team in the US with a proven business development specialist.
Job description
  • Analyze customer needs, market trends and product benefits.  Translate those findings into commercial plans, execute on those plans, and report them to senior management.
  • Expand the customer base and business development pipeline, focusing on the conversion of sales and securing orders to meet targets.
  • Build and deepen the company’s online presence and digital marketing, including fulfilling an active role at virtual events, as well as, actively promoting the company at exhibitions and tradeshows.
  • Visit customers, working closely together with them to identify key needs, and building long lasting relationships.
  • Establish close relationships with R&D and purchasing, as well as, identify and visit key decision and program gate keepers.
  • Support distributors by providing detailed technological and commercial information.
  • Maintain accurate files detailing visit reports and relevant correspondence between company and clients.
You will have a Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree or equivalent work experience and prior experience in the world of personal care and home care. In addition, you bring/are:
  • 5+ years of experience in new business development and account management;
  • A creative self-starter with a growth mentality and entrepreneurship;
  • Results driven, strong interpersonal skills and expertise in conceptual selling;
  • Knowledge of home, fabric, and personal care ingredients is a must-have, as is having an active customer network within the personal care and detergents markets;
  • Excellent customer-facing negotiation skills;
  • Experience with online content marketing;
  • Affinity with speciality chemical ingredients technology would be an asset;
  • High flexibility, willingness to travel domestically (>30%) and internationally (occasionally);
  • Ideally located Midwest or East Coast.
